GULFSTREAM (GRUMMAN) G.159 SERIES AEROPLANES
AD/G159/32 Amdt 1 Jumpseat Placard - Installation 6/78
Applicability: All models.
Requirement: To prevent injury to an occupant of any jumpseat located between fuselage stations 119 and 169, accomplish one of the following :-
1. Install a placard either on the bulkhead adjacent to the jumpseat or any equivalent location approved by the Secretary utilising a minimum of 3/16 inch (5mm) high lettering with the wording "JUMPSEAT OCCUPANCY DURING TAXI, TAKEOFF OR LANDING PROHIBITED".
2. Modify in the following manner:
Install the nose landing gear drag strut (fused) or bulkhead modification in accordance with GAAC Service Change No. 226, Part 1 or Part 11 as applicable.
The placard described in sub-para. 1 may be removed on the incorporation of either modification detailed in sub-para. 2 or for the period of extension of compliance granted by concession.
Compliance: Within 10 hours time in service after 15 May 1978, unless already accomplished.
Note 1: No concession extending this compliance after 8 November 1979 shall be granted.
Note 2: No concession extending this compliance to a date prior to 8 November 1979 shall be granted unless evidence of a firm commit ment by GAAC on the available date for the modification kit for that S/No. aircraft is supplied to the Secretary by 21 July 1978.
