AD/GAF-N22/68 Horizontal Stabiliser - Main Spar
and Upper Skin

Applicability: All Nomad N22 series and N24 series aircraft fitted with Mod N663 and N768.
Requirement: Perform a detailed visual inspection of the horizontal stabiliser main spar and skins.
Inspect in accordance with Nomad Alert Service Bulletin ANMD-55-32.
Report the findings of the first inspection, negative as well as positive, to the Authority. Include the total time in service of the horizontal stabiliser, and the time in service since mod's N663 and N768 were fitted.
Compliance: Initially inspect before 100 hours time in service after 13 October 1994, or before 13 November 1994, whichever occurs first.
Re-inspect the spar and skins at each inspection of the airplane for the purpose of issuing a maintenance release, but not less frequently than annually, or every 115 hours time in service.
Background: Fatigue testing has revealed fatigue cracks in the horizontal stabiliser upper skin and main spar.
