COMMONWEALTH OF AUSTRALIA (Civil Aviation Regulations 1998), PART 39 - 105 CIVIL AVIATION SAFETY AUTHORITY SCHEDULE OF AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVES
British Aerospace BAe 125 Series Aeroplanes
AD/HS 125/151 Amdt 1
APU Fuel Feed Hose Assemblies 13/96
Applicability: All BAe 125 series 1000A, 1000B and Hawker 1000 aircraft Post Mod 259722C (Introduction of Turbomach APU).
Requirement 1. Inspect the APU fuel feed hose assembly, in accordance with Hawker Raytheon Corporate Jets Mandatory Inspection Service Bulletin SB 49-44 Revision 1.
Note: CAA (UK) AD 004-01-95 and FAA AD 95-10-01 refer.
2. Replace the vinyl conduit on the APU fuel feed hose assembly with convoluted PTFE tube, in accordance with Hawker Service Bulletin SB.49-47-25A825A (Modification No. 25A825A).
Compliance: Requirement 1: Unless previously accomplished, with an effective date of 31 May 1995 and thereafter at the periods specified in the manufacturers maintenance schedules.
Requirement 2: Within 200 flight hours with an effective date of 5 December 1995.
Compliance with Requirement 2 provides terminating action for the inspections in Requirement 1.
This Amendment is effective from 5 December 1996.
Background: The aircraft manufacturer has advised that APU feed hoses have sustained heat damage due to impingement of hot bleed air leaking from adjacent pneumatic components.
Complete failure of the APU hoses could result in an in-flight fire.
This amendment is raised to provide terminating action to the Directive.
The original issue of this Airworthiness Directive became effective on 31 May 1995.
