British Aerospace (Hawker Siddeley) HS 748 Series Aeroplanes
AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE
For the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below issues the following Airworthiness Directive (AD) under subregulation 39.1 (1) of CAR 1998. The AD requires that the action set out in the requirement section (being action that the delegate considers necessary to correct the unsafe condition) be taken in relation to the aircraft or aeronautical product mentioned in the applicability section: (a) in the circumstances mentioned in the requirement section; and (b) in accordance with the instructions set out in the requirement section; and (c) at the time mentioned in the compliance section.
AD/HS 748/27 Elevator Primary Stop Lever 4/2000
Applicability: All HS748 series aircraft.
Requirement: Action in accordance with BAe Regional Aircraft Mandatory Service Bulletin HS748-27-125 Revision 1.
Note: Modification No. 7669 refers.
Compliance: Before 31 January 2001.
This Airworthiness Directive becomes effective on 20 April 2000.
Background: Following an incident report of a flying control restriction, a zonal survey was carried out by the manufacturer and an area of potential restriction identified. This Directive requires modification of the elevator primary stop lever under the flight deck floor, as a potential foreign object hazard exists.
