Clutch Control Spring 5/95
Applicability: All model 269A, 269A-1, 269B, 269C and all TH55A helicopters. Requirement: Action in accordance with Schweizer Mandatory Service Bulletin B-256-2. Note: FAA AD 95-03-12 amdt 39-9148 refers and supersedes FAA Priority Letter AD 93-03-01.
Compliance: Unless previously inspected for wear and security in accordance with Schweizer SB B-256-1, carry out Part 1 of the Requirement Document by 28 April 1995. Thereafter, reinspect at intervals not exceeding 100 hours time in service.
Background: The manufacturer has advised that due to the failure of a clutch control spring assembly on a 269C helicopter, an accident has occurred. This amendment has been raised to incorporate the requirements of the manufacturer's SB and the later FAA AD.
