COMMONWEALTH OF AUSTRALIA (Civil Aviation Regulations 1998), PART 39 - 105 CIVIL AVIATION SAFETY AUTHORITY SCHEDULE OF AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVES
McDonnell Douglas (Hughes) and Kawasaki 369 Series Helicopters
AD/HU 369/60 Amdt 1
Applicability: All models.
Oil Pressure and Torque Pressure Firewall Fitting Checks
13/87
Requirement: Action in accordance with McDonnell Douglas SIN No. HN-209, DN-149, EN-37 and FN-26.
Compliance: 1. Unless already accomplished, within 100 hours time in service after 31 December 1987; and
2. Any time the P/N 369A8010 oil lines and related firewall fittings are removed and reinstalled or replaced; and
3. Any time there are indications of oil leaks around the P/N 369A8010 oil lines at the firewall fittings.
Background: Incorrectly swaged oil pressure and torque pressure tube assemblies have been found attached to the firewall fittings. These tubes can pull out of the fitting causing loss of engine oil. Amendment 1 to this Directive extends compliance to include all 369 series helicopters.
