AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE
For the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below issues the following Airworthiness Directive (AD) under subregulation 39.1 (1) of CASR 1998. The AD requires that the action set out in the requirement section (being action that the delegate considers necessary to correct the unsafe condition) be taken in relation to the aircraft or aeronautical product mentioned in the applicability section: (a) in the circumstances mentioned in the requirement section; and (b) in accordance with the instructions set out in the requirement section; and (c) at the time mentioned in the compliance section.

AD/IAI-A/17 Main Landing Gear Ground Contact Switches

Applicability: Gulfstream Aerospace LP (GALP) Model 1125 Astra, Astra SPX and G100 aeroplanes with serial numbers 004 through 127 inclusive.
Requirement: Unless already accomplished, adjust the main landing gear ground contact switches in accordance with the revised procedures in the G100 Maintenance Manual and GALP Service Bulletin 1125-32A-233 Revision 1 dated 1 August 2003.
Note 1: The G100 Maintenance Manual procedures for adjusting the main landing gear ground contact switch were revised by Temporary Revision (TR) 32-8 dated 12 April 2001. Maintenance Manual Revision 4, dated 1 August 2001, subsequently incorporated the revised procedures and removed TR 32-8.

Compliance: Within 200 hours time in service after the effective date of this Directive This Airworthiness Directive becomes effective on 27 November 2003. Background: The Israel Civil Aviation Administration has received reports of in-flight deployment of the ground airbrakes following lowering of the landing gear. This Directive requires the adjustment of the main landing gear ground contact switch to prevent false 'Ground' position signals causing the ground airbrakes to deploy and the aircraft to roll.
