AD/IAI-W/14 Amdt 2
Aileron Control Rod P/N 513506-503 13/92
Applicability: Model 1124/1124A, all serial numbers.
Requirement: Action in accordance with Israel Aircraft Industries Service Bulletin 1124-27-100 Revision 1 or Revision 2.
Note 1: Israel Ministry of Transport AD 90-01 refers.
Note 2: Compliance with Revision 2 of the Requirement Document constitutes terminating action for the repetitive inspections specified in Revision 1 of the Requirement Document.
Compliance: Within 150 hours time in service after compliance with the previous issue of this Directive and thereafter at intervals not to exceed 150 hours time in service; until compliance with Revision 2 of the Requirement Document.
The compliance of the previous issue of this Directive was: Prior to exceeding 20 hours time in service after 30 May 1990, and thereafter at periods not exceeding 150 hours time in service.
This Amendment is effective on 10 December 1992.
Background: Country of Origin AD. Extensive corrosion found on three overseas aircraft. Amendment 1 referenced latest Requirement Document. Aircraft complying with the previous issue of this Directive required no additional work. Amendment 2 is issued in response to a revision of the Requirement Document which introduces improved rod assemblies that are less likely to corrode.
