Aileron Push Pull Tube and Guide Rollers 11/96
Applicability: Models 1124 and 1124A, all serial numbers.
Requirement: Action in accordance with IAI Service Bulletin No. 1124-27-129.
Note: CAAI AD 95-28 R1 refers.
Compliance: Within 50 hours time in service after 07 June 1995; thereafter at intervals not exceeding 800 hours time in service.
The initial Compliance date of this Directive remains unchanged, the effective date for Amendment 1 is 10 October 1996.
Background: Excessive wear caused by chafing has been found on the aileron push pull tube. This may lead to uneven control wheel movement, and if unchecked result in perforation of the control tube.
Amendment 1 extends the repeat inspection periodicity to 800 hours time in service to align with the "C" check.
The original issue of this Airworthiness Directive became effective on 7 June 1995.
