SCHEDULE OF AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVES
Israel Aircraft Industries 1123 and 1124 (Westwind) Series Aeroplanes
AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE
For the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below issues the following Airworthiness Directive (AD) under subregulation 39.1 (1) of CAR 1998. The AD requires that the action set out in the requirement section (being action that the delegate considers necessary to correct the unsafe condition) be taken in relation to the aircraft or aeronautical product mentioned in the applicability section: (a) in the circumstances mentioned in the requirement section; and (b) in accordance with the instructions set out in the requirement section; and (c) at the time mentioned in the compliance section.
AD/IAI-W/22 Horizontal Stabilizer Trim Actuator 12/2000

Applicability: All IAI 1121/1121A/1121B, 1123 and 1124/1124A series aircraft.
Requirement: Inspect the horizontal stabilizer trim actuator for correct installation of the tierod through the dust shield and both jackscrew assemblies in accordance with Israel Aircraft Industries Alert Service Bulletins 1121-27A-028, 1123-27A-053 and 1124- 27A-147, as applicable.
Note: CAAI AD 27-00-09-01 refers.
Compliance: Within 25 flying hours after the effective date of this Airworthiness Directive.
This Airworthiness Directive becomes effective on 25 October 2000.
Background: This Directive is prompted by advice from the CAAI that an incorrectly installed dust shield can jam the horizontal stabilizer trim actuator leading to loss of pitch control.
