Main Landing Gear Doors 7/95
Applicability: HP 137 Mk 1, Jetstream Series 200 and Jetstream Series 3100 aircraft, constructors numbers 601 through 695.
Requirement: Action in accordance with Jetstream Alert Service Bulletin 32-A-JA840318 Revision 2.
Compliance: Within 200 landings after 30 November 1986, and thereafter at intervals not to exceed 1000 landings, until modified in accordance with Jetstream Service Bulletin 32-JM5280.
The compliance of the previous issue of this directive remains unchanged. This amendment is effective from 22 June 1995. Background: Cases have been reported of the failure of rod end bearings, bending of rod shanks, cracking of rod threads, cracking of door hinges and door loss. Amendment 1 provided for terminating action.
Amendment 2 is issued in response to a revision of the requirement document which amends the instructions for non-destructive testing of the hinges on the main landing gear doors.
