COMMONWEALTH OF AUSTRALIA (Civil Aviation Regulations 1998), PART 39 - 105 CIVIL AVIATION SAFETY AUTHORITY SCHEDULE OF AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVES
British Aerospace BAe 3100 (Jetstream) Series Aeroplanes
AD/JETSTREAM/51 Amdt 1
Hydraulic Power Emergency Selector Valve 6/92
Applicability: All Model HP137 Mk 1, Jetstream Series 200, 3100 and 3200 Series aircraft.
Requirement: Action in accordance with the Technical Requirements of British Aerospace Service Bulletin, CAA (UK) mandatory, 29-JA 901242 Revision 1 dated 25 September 1991.
Note: FAA AD 92-07-04 amdt 39-8200 refers.
Compliance: Required at next 1800 hour scheduled inspection, or by 31 August 1992, which ever occurs first
Background: Operators have reported cases of an excessive load required to operate the flaps and main landing gear emergency selector valve handle on in-service aircraft. Failure of the emergency selector valve would result in the flight crew being unable to use the emergency hydraulic system to lower the flaps and landing gear. This amendment has been raised to add the HP137 and 200 series aircraft and the FAA AD reference to the directive.
