SCHEDULE OF AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVES
AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE
For the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below issues the following Airworthiness Directive (AD) under subregulation 39.1 (1) of CASR 1998. The AD requires that the action set out in the requirement section (being action that the delegate considers necessary to correct the unsafe condition) be taken in relation to the aircraft or aeronautical product mentioned in the applicability section: (a) in the circumstances mentioned in the requirement section; and (b) in accordance with the instructions set out in the requirement section; and (c) at the time mentioned in the compliance section.
Learjet 60 Series Aeroplanes
AD/LJ60/3 Brake Valve 4/2004
Applicability: Model 60 aeroplanes, serial numbers 60-002 through 60-189 inclusive. Requirement: 1. For aeroplanes having serial numbers 60-002 through 60-093 inclusive, and
60-095 through 60-188 inclusive: Replace the existing brake valve lever stop switch with a new brake valve lever stop switch, and replace the brake valve adjustment screws with new improved screws, in accordance with Bombardier Service Bulletin (S/B) 60-32-10, Revision 1, dated June 22, 2000.
2. For aeroplanes having serial number 60-094 or 60-189: Replace the brake valve adjustment screws with new improved screws, in accordance with Bombardier S/B 60-32-10, Revision 1.

Compliance: Unless previously accomplished prior to further flight.
This Airworthiness Directive becomes effective on 15 April 2004.
Background: Bottoming of the valve components before contact of the brake valve lever with the stop could result in loss of all hydraulic fluid and consequent loss of normal braking.
