SCHEDULE OF AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVES
AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE
For the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below issues the following Airworthiness Directive (AD) under subregulation 39.1 (1) of CASR 1998. The AD requires that the action set out in the requirement section (being action that the delegate considers necessary to correct the unsafe condition) be taken in relation to the aircraft or aeronautical product mentioned in the applicability section: (a) in the circumstances mentioned in the requirement section; and (b) in accordance with the instructions set out in the requirement section; and (c) at the time mentioned in the compliance section.
Learjet 60 Series Aeroplanes
AD/LJ60/4 Spoiler Actuator 4/2004
Applicability: Model 60 aeroplanes, serial numbers 60-029, 60-050, 60-120 through 60-139 inclusive.
Requirement: Determine by visual inspection the serial number of the installed spoiler actuators and if the serial number is listed in Learjet Service Bulletin Service Bulletin (S/B) 60-27- 21, dated 14 December 1998 replace the spoiler actuator in accordance with Learjet Service Bulletin S/B 60-27-21.

Compliance: Unless previously accomplished before further flight.
This Airworthiness Directive becomes effective on 15 April 2004.
Background: Failure of a spoiler actuator has occurred which could result in the spoiler panel floating and inducing an uncommanded roll of the aeroplane.
