AD/LTS/10 Number Two Bearing 3/95
Applicability: LTS101 series engines incorporating Number 2 Bearing P/N 4-301-362-01 as detailed by serial number in Textron Lycoming Alert Service Bulletin Number A-LT101-72- 50-0163 Revision 1.
Requirement: Replace the number 2 bearing in accordance with Textron Lyoming Alert Service Bulletin No. A-LT101-72-50-0163 Revision 1.
Note: FAA Airworthiness Directive 94-18-06 refers.
Compliance: Effective 2 March 1995: As detailed in the Requirement Document.
Background: This Directive has been issued to require the replacement of certain number 2 bearings. The requirement follows advice that a machining discrepancy may have occurred during the manufacturing process. This discrepancy may result in bearing failure and subsequent engine failure.
