Luscombe Model 8 Series Aeroplanes
AD/LUSCOMBE/1 Vertical Stabiliser Fitting 11/94
Applicability: All Model 8 Series aircraft that have round-tipped vertical stabiliser installations.
Requirement: Replace the aluminium vertical stabiliser forward attach fitting, Luscombe part number 28415, 28444, or 28453, with either a Luscombe part number 28455 fitting manufactured by the Don Luscombe Aviation History Foundation (DLAHF); a welded steel fitting manufactured by the Univair Aircraft Corporation, part number U28444; or an FAA approved part.
Accomplish this replacement in accordance with the procedures included in DLAHF Service Recommendation #1, dated November 28, 1993.
Note: FAA AD 94-16-02 Amdt 39-8991 refers, which supersedes AD 79-25-05 Amdt 39-3630.
Compliance: Unless already accomplished, within 100 hours time in service after 13 October 1994.
