Flap Control System Torque Tube Assembly Joint 10/90
Applicability: All models.
Requirement: Action in accordance with Mitsubishi SB No 189A or SB No 067/27-008 as applicable by serial number.
Note: Japan Civil Aviation Bureau AD No TCD-2252-1-87 refers.
Compliance: Initially inspect prior to exceeding 4000 hours component time in service or within 100 hours component time in service after 1 November 1990, whichever occurs later. Repeat the inspections at intervals not exceeding 100 hours component time in service.
Note: Modification in accordance with the applicable Requirement document constitutes terminating action for this Directive.
Background: Amendment 1 extended the repeat inspection requirements, and introduced a new terminating action for the inspections.
Amendment 2 introduces SB 067/27-008 which extends the inspection requirements to include all remaining serial numbers, and includes terminating action acceptable for those serial numbers.
