SCHEDULE OF AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVES
AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE
For the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below issues the following Airworthiness Directive (AD) under subregulation 39.1 (1) of CASR 1998. The AD requires that the action set out in the requirement section (being action that the delegate considers necessary to correct the unsafe condition) be taken in relation to the aircraft or aeronautical product mentioned in the applicability section: (a) in the circumstances mentioned in the requirement section; and (b) in accordance with the instructions set out in the requirement section; and (c) at the time mentioned in the compliance section.
FLS Aerospace OA7 Optica Series Aeroplanes
AD/OPTICA/7 Nose Undercarriage Leg Retention 1/2004
Applicability: Model OA7 aircraft, with constructors numbers up to and including OA7-022. Requirement: Action in accordance with FLS Aerospace Service Bulletin B2/MSB/5.
Note: UK CAA AD 007-01-94 refers.
Compliance: Unless already accomplished, at the next scheduled 50 hour inspection after 22 January 2004.
This Airworthiness Directive becomes effective on 22 January 2004.
Background: This Directive requires incorporation of Modification No. B2/MOD/46, which introduces an additional retention mechanism between the bearing block and the nose undercarriage leg, in the form of a tapered pin.
This Directive is issued following a review of current UK CAA Airworthiness Directives applicable to OA7 Optica aircraft.
