COMMONWEALTH OF AUSTRALIA (Civil Aviation Regulations 1998), PART 39 - 107 CIVIL AVIATION SAFETY AUTHORITY SCHEDULE OF AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVES Oxygen Systems AD/OXY/14 Puritan Bennett Aero Systems Sweep-On Model 200 Crew Oxygen Masks 13/94 DM Applicability: Puritan Bennett Aero Systems Sweep-On Model 2000 crew oxygen masks, part number series and serial number range indicated below, that do not have a tamper seal: 174250-Series 00001 to 00005 inclusive 174252-Series 00001 to 00112 inclusive 174260-Series 00001 to 00236 inclusive 174262-Series 00001 to 00015 inclusive Note: These oxygen masks are known to be installed in, but not limited to the following aircraft series: Beech Model 400 Cessna Model 500, 501, 550, S550, 551 and 650 Dassault Mystere Falcon Model 20 Dornier Model 228 and 328 Gulfstream Model G-1159 (G-II) and G-1159A (G-III) Raytheon Corporate Jets Model HS 125-700 Requirement: Action in accordance with Puritan Bennett Aero Systems Service Bulletin 174250-35- 1 dated August 1994. Note: FAA AD 94-19-06 Amdt 39-9028 refers. Compliance: Prior to 31 December 1994. Background: The FAA has received several reports of difficulty in exhaling into Sweep-On 2000 oxygen masks due to misalignment of the demand diaphragm. Compliance with this Directive will ensure that the demand diaphragm is properly aligned in the mask, allowing correct operation of the exhalation valve.
