AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE For the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below issues the following Airworthiness Directive (AD) under subregulation 39.001(1) of CASR 1998. The AD requires that the action set out in the requirement section (being action that the delegate considers necessary to correct the unsafe condition) be taken in relation to the aircraft or aeronautical product mentioned in the applicability section: (a) in the circumstances mentioned in the requirement section; and (b) in accordance with the instructions set out in the requirement section; and (c) at the time mentioned in the compliance section.
Dornier 328 Series Aeroplanes AD/DO 328/44 Aileron Elevator and Rudder Trim Tabs 3/2006
Applicability: Model 328-100 aircraft, serial numbers 3005 through 3119. Requirement: Action in accordance with LBA AD 2002-126/2.
Note: Dornier 328 Service Bulletins No. SB-328-55-368 Revision 1, No. SB-328-57-350 Revision 2, and No. SB-328-55-422, refer. Compliance: Before 31 March 2006, unless already accomplished. This Airworthiness Directive becomes effective on 16 March 2006. Background: The trim tab hinge fittings attachment screw countersinks were found to have been incorrectly manufactured, and the torque values for the elevator trim tab and rudder trim and spring tab attachment screws have been revised.
