AD/F2000/12 - Hydraulic Shut-off Valve (Cth)

AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE For the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below issues the following Airworthiness Directive (AD) under subregulation 39.001(1) of CASR 1998. The AD requires that the action set out in the requirement section (being action that the delegate considers necessary to correct the unsafe condition) be taken in relation to the aircraft or aeronautical product mentioned in the applicability section: (a) in the circumstances mentioned in the requirement section; and (b) in accordance with the instructions set out in the requirement section; and (c) at the time mentioned in the compliance section.

Dassault Aviation Falcon 2000 Series Aeroplanes AD/F2000/12 Hydraulic Shut-off Valve 5/2006

Applicability: FALCON 2000 aircraft, from serial numbers (S/N) 2 to 132 included, except S/N123, 130 and 131 which have not incorporated Service Bulletin (SB) F2000-223. Requirement: Replace the hydraulic shut-off valve in accordance with Dassault Aviation SB F2000-223 or later DGAC approved revision.

Note: DGAC AD F-2001-497-011(b) refers. Compliance: Within 30 days after the effective date of this AD. This Airworthiness Directive becomes effective on 11 May 2006. Background: The hydraulic shut-off valve is designed to isolate the hydraulic fluid from the engine nacelle in the case of a fire. The valve can fail because of the valve actuator motor continuing to run after the valve reaches its commanded position and eventually overheating.
