AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE
For the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below issues the following Airworthiness Directive (AD) under subregulation 39.001(1) of CASR 1998. The AD requires that the action set out in the requirement section (being action that the delegate considers necessary to correct the unsafe condition) be taken in relation to the aircraft or aeronautical product mentioned in the applicability section: (a) in the circumstances mentioned in the requirement section; and (b) in accordance with the instructions set out in the requirement section; and (c) at the time mentioned in the compliance section.
Kelowna Flightcraft (General Dynamics/Convair) Series Aeroplanes
AD/CONVAIR/21 FAA Non-Repetitive ADs 5/2006
Applicability: General Dynamics (CONVAIR) Model 240, 340 and 440 series aeroplanes.
Requirement: 1. Determine the applicability of the AD's listed in Table 1 of this AD.
2. If it is determined that an applicable AD has not been accomplished, perform the actions required by the AD.

Note: Prior to 1963 FAA AD's did not have effective dates.
Compliance: Within 30 days after the effective date of this AD.
This Airworthiness Directive becomes effective on 11 May 2006.
Background: The AD's listed in Table 1 of this AD have been evaluated and found to require one-time inspections or modifications as at the effective date of this AD. In addition the compliance period for these AD's has passed. With the introduction of the aeroplane onto the Australian register, the intention of this AD is to ensure compliance with the AD's listed in Table 1.
CASA appreciates that not all AD's listed in Table 1 of this AD may be applicable, due to the incorporation of STC's or other modifications.
