AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE For the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below issues the following Airworthiness Directive (AD) under subregulation 39.001(1) of CASR 1998. The AD requires that the action set out in the requirement section (being action that the delegate considers necessary to correct the unsafe condition) be taken in relation to the aircraft or aeronautical product mentioned in the applicability section: (a) in the circumstances mentioned in the requirement section; and (b) in accordance with the instructions set out in the requirement section; and (c) at the time mentioned in the compliance section.
Kelowna Flightcraft (General Dynamics/Convair) Series Aeroplanes AD/CONVAIR/7 Cockpit and Cabin Windows 5/2006
Applicability: Model 240, 340, and 440 aircraft, and all such model aircraft converted to turbopropellor power. Requirement: 1. For sliding windows part number (P/N) 340-3110307-7 or -8, which were five years old or older at 30 June 1980, and replaced with a serviceable window:
Repetitively inspect in accordance with Requirement 3.
2. If the aircraft is to be operated with damage to the sliding windows, or cabin windows which exceeds the limits specified in the referenced service bulletins specified in Requirement 3, or with sliding windows P/N 240-3110315-6 or -7; or with sliding windows P/N 340-3110307- or -8, which are twelve years old or older; or cabin windows which are twelve years old or older; install the following placard in full view of the pilots:
PRESSURISED FLIGHT PROHIBITED
The placard may be removed when the inspections or window replacements required by this Directive have been complied with.
