AD/BEECH 90/86 Amdt 2 - Rudder Trim Tab (Cth)

AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive (AD) AD/BEECH 90/86 Amdt 1 and issues the following AD under subregulation 39.001(1) of CASR 1998. The AD requires that the action set out in the requirement section (being action that the delegate considers necessary to correct the unsafe condition) be taken in relation to the aircraft or aeronautical product mentioned in the applicability section: (a) in the circumstances mentioned in the requirement section; and (b) in accordance with the instructions set out in the requirement section; and (c) at the time mentioned in the compliance section.

Beechcraft 90 and 65-90 (King Air) Series Aeroplanes AD/BEECH 90/86 Amdt 2 Rudder Trim Tab 9/2006

Applicability: Group 1 aircraft:

Models 65-90, 65-A90, B90, C90, and C90A aircraft, serial numbers LJ-1 through LJ-1280.

Model E90 aircraft, serial numbers LW-1 through LW-347.

Group 2 aircraft:

Model C90A aircraft, serial numbers LJ-1281 through LJ-1732. Requirement: For Group 1 aircraft:

1. Inspect the rudder trim tab for proper moisture drainage provisions in accordance with Beech Service Bulletin (SB) No. 2365 Revision 1.

If the correct drainage provisions do not exist, before further flight, modify the rudder trim tab in accordance with SB No. 2365 Revision 1.

For Group 2 aircraft:

2. Inspect the rudder trim tab for proper moisture drainage provisions in accordance with SB No. 2365 Revision 2.

If the correct drainage provisions do not exist, before further flight, modify the rudder trim tab in accordance with SB No. 2365 Revision 2.
