This Determination is the Currency (Royal Australian Mint) Determination 2004 (No. 1).
2 Commencement [see Note 1]
This Determination commences on gazettal.
3 Standard composition of coins
For paragraph 13 (2) (b) of the Currency Act 1965, that Act has effect, on and after the commencement of this Determination: (a) as if there were included in the Schedule to that Act the denominations of money mentioned in column 2 of items 103 and 104 of Part 1 of Schedule 1; and (b) as if there were specified in the Schedule opposite those denominations, as the standard composition of coins of those denominations, the standard composition mentioned in column 3 of those items.
4 Specification of coins
For subsection 13A (1) of the Currency Act 1965, this Determination specifies, for a coin having the denomination and standard composition specified in columns 2 and 3 of Part 1 of Schedule 1, the standard weight, the allowable variation from that weight, the dimensions and the design specified in columns 4, 5 and 6 of that Part.
5 Application of Determination
The specifications in Schedule 1 to this Determination do not affect any other determination of the specifications of a coin. Schedule 1 (sections 3 and 4)
