AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive (AD) AD/TBM 700/38 and issues the following AD under subregulation 39.001(1) of CASR 1998. The AD requires that the action set out in the requirement section (being action that the delegate considers necessary to correct the unsafe condition) be taken in relation to the aircraft or aeronautical product mentioned in the applicability section: (a) in the circumstances mentioned in the requirement section; and (b) in accordance with the instructions set out in the requirement section; and (c) at the time mentioned in the compliance section.
Aerospatiale (Socata) TBM 700 Series Aeroplanes AD/TBM 700/38 Amdt 1 Flap Carriage Roller Pins 4/2007
Applicability: Model TBM 700 aircraft, serial numbers 1 through 268, and 270 through 327, which have accumulated more than 1,500 landings. Requirement: Action in accordance with EADS Socata TBM 700 Service Bulletin No. SB 70-122 Amdt 2, or later EASA approved revision.
Note 1: Incorporation of modification MOD70-0168-57 on both wings in accordance with EADS Socata Service Bulletin No. 70-138 original issue, or later EASA approved revision, is considered terminating action for the requirements of this Directive.
Note 2: EASA AD 2007-0055 refers. Compliance: Unless the initial inspection is already accomplished, at the next scheduled 100 hour inspection after 12 April 2007. Repeat thereafter at intervals not to exceed 110 flight hours. This Amendment becomes effective on 12 April 2007. Background: Reports were received of two fatigue failures of flap carriage roller pins on in-service aircraft.
