AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE For the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below issues the following Airworthiness Directive (AD) under subregulation 39.001(1) of CASR 1998. The AD requires that the action set out in the requirement section (being action that the delegate considers necessary to correct the unsafe condition) be taken in relation to the aircraft or aeronautical product mentioned in the applicability section: (a) in the circumstances mentioned in the requirement section; and (b) in accordance with the instructions set out in the requirement section; and (c) at the time mentioned in the compliance section.
Bombardier (Boeing Canada/De Havilland) DHC-8 Series Aeroplanes AD/DHC-8/129 Corrosion Prevention and Control Program 7/2007
Applicability: DHC-8 aircraft, Models 101, 102, 103, 106, 201, 202, 301, 311, 314, and 315, with serial numbers 003 and subsequent. Requirement: Action in accordance with the requirements of Transport Canada AD CF-2007-06.
Note 1: Incorporation of the Corrosion Prevention and Control Program (CPCP) into the operator's maintenance schedule constitutes terminating action for this Directive.
Note 2: A CPCP developed by Bombardier in Part 1 of Maintenance Program Manual PSM 1-8-7, 1-82-7, 1-83-7, approved by Transport Canada 22 June 2005, refers. Compliance: As specified in the Requirement document, with a revised effective date of 5 July 2007. This Airworthiness Directive becomes effective on 5 July 2007. Background: A corrosion and prevention and control program, which identifies specific areas that must be inspected, is required to be implemented in the maintenance program to ensure the structural integrity of the aircraft fleet.
