I, PHILIP MICHAEL JEFFERY, Governor‑General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following Regulations under the Extradition Act 1988. Dated 22 August 2007

1 Name of Regulations
These Regulations are the Extradition (Slovakia) Regulations 2007.
2 Commencement
These Regulations commence on the day after they are registered.
3 Definitions
In these Regulations: Act means the Extradition Act 1988. Slovakia means The Slovak Republic.
4 Declaration that Slovakia is an extradition country
Slovakia is declared to be an extradition country.
5 Application of the Act to Slovakia
For paragraph 11 (1) (b) of the Act, the Act applies to Slovakia subject to modification of paragraph 17 (2) (a) of the Act by omitting '45 days' and substituting '60 days'.
