AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE For the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below issues the following Airworthiness Directive (AD) under subregulation 39.001(1) of CASR 1998. The AD requires that the action set out in the requirement section (being action that the delegate considers necessary to correct the unsafe condition) be taken in relation to the aircraft or aeronautical product mentioned in the applicability section: (a) in the circumstances mentioned in the requirement section; and (b) in accordance with the instructions set out in the requirement section; and (c) at the time mentioned in the compliance section.
Eurocopter BO 105 Series Helicopters AD/BO 105/17 Main Rotorhead Parts 10/2007
Applicability: All Eurocopter Canada model BO 105 LS A-3 helicopters. Requirement: Incorporate the changes to the "TCI-List", in accordance with the Accomplishment Instructions of Eurocopter Canada Alert Service Bulletin No. ASB BO 105 LS 10-11, dated 11 May 2005, or later Transport Canada approved revision.
Replace and re-identify affected parts in accordance with Item 1.D. (Compliance) and Item 2. (Accomplishment Instructions) of ASB BO 105 LS 10-11, dated 11 May 2005, or later Transport Canada approved revision.
Note: Transport Canada AD CF-2005-17 refers. Compliance: Unless already accomplished, within 4 weeks after 27 September 2007. This Airworthiness Directive becomes effective on 27 September 2007. Background: On various BO 105 types, several structurally identical parts of the same part numbers are being used. However, because these parts are subject to different loadings, their life limitations will vary. Therefore, it is necessary to re-identify these parts and establish their life limits.
