AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE For the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below issues the following Airworthiness Directive (AD) under subregulation 39.001(1) of CASR 1998. The AD requires that the action set out in the requirement section (being action that the delegate considers necessary to correct the unsafe condition) be taken in relation to the aircraft or aeronautical product mentioned in the applicability section: (a) in the circumstances mentioned in the requirement section; and (b) in accordance with the instructions set out in the requirement section; and (c) at the time mentioned in the compliance section.
Beechcraft 400 Series Aeroplanes AD/BEECH 400/28 Engine Cowling Panel Fasteners 12/2007
Applicability: Model 400, 400A, and 400T series aircraft, as identified in Raytheon Service Bulletin SB 54-3788 dated December 2006, or later FAA approved revision. Requirement: Modify the attachment fasteners on the engine cowling panels in accordance with the Accomplishment Instructions of Raytheon Service Bulletin SB 54-3788 original issue, or later FAA approved revision.
Note: FAA AD 2007-19-05 Amdt 39-15195 refers. Compliance: Within 200 flight hours after 22 November 2007. This Airworthiness Directive becomes effective on 22 November 2007. Background: The FAA received several reports of loose attachment fasteners on the engine cowling panels, with the panels either peeling back or separating from the aircraft during flight. Separation of a panel during flight could result in damage to aircraft structure, or cause injury to people or damage to property on the ground.
