Currency Determination No. 5 of 1998

I, Charles Roderick Kemp, Assistant Treasurer, make this Determination under subsection 13A (1) of the Currency Act 1965.

Name of Determination

1. This Determination is Currency Determination No. 5 of 1998.

Commencement

2. (1) Subject to subclause (2), this determination commences on 29 June 1998.

(2) Clause 5 is taken to have commenced on 20 March 1998.

Specification of coins

3. This Determination specifies, for a coin having the denomination and standard composition specified in columns 2 and 3 of Part 1 of the Schedule, the standard weight, the allowable variation from that weight, the dimensions and the design specified in columns 4, 5 and 6 of that Part.

Application of Determination

4. This Determination does not affect any other determination of the specifications of a coin.

Amendment of Currency Determination No. 4 of 1998

5. Clause 3 of Currency Determination No. 4 of 1998 is amended as follows: (a) omit "columns 1 and 2", substitute "columns 2 and 3"; (b) omit "columns 3, 4 and 5", substitute "columns 4, 5 and 6". ____________
