Superannuation (Productivity Benefit) Alternative Arrangements Declaration No. 4
I, RALPH WILLIS, Minister of State for Finance, make the following Declaration under subsections 4A (1) and (2) of the Superannuation (Productivity Benefit) Act 1988.

Citation
1. This Declaration may be cited as Superannuation (Productivity Benefit) Alternative Arrangements Declaration No. 4.
Commencement
2. This Declaration takes effect from 1 July 1990.
Interpretation
3. In this Declaration: "relevant person" means a person specified in the Schedule by reference to the name and Australian Government Staff Number of the person; "the Act" means the Superannuation (Productivity Benefit) Act 1988.
Declaration of certain employees as a class
4. For the purposes of subsection 4a (1) of the Act, relevant persons who: (a) are qualified employees; and (b) are not scheme employees; are a class of employees who are not fund employees or interim arrangement employees.
Arrangements specified in relation to declared class of employees
5. For the purposes of subsection 4a (2) of the Act, the following arrangements apply to a member of the class of employees referred to in clause 4: (a) the member is taken to be a fund employee and a remainder employee; (b) the superannuation fund specified in the Schedule in relation to the member is taken to be an approved fund; (c) the Act, other than subsections 4c (2) and (3), is taken to apply to the member. _____________
