AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE For the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below issues the following Airworthiness Directive (AD) under subregulation 39.001(1) of CASR 1998. The AD requires that the action set out in the requirement section (being action that the delegate considers necessary to correct the unsafe condition) be taken in relation to the aircraft or aeronautical product mentioned in the applicability section: (a) in the circumstances mentioned in the requirement section; and (b) in accordance with the instructions set out in the requirement section; and (c) at the time mentioned in the compliance section.
Bombardier (Boeing Canada/De Havilland) DHC-8 Series Aeroplanes AD/DHC-8/134 Fuel System Safety 3/2008 DM
Applicability: Model DHC-8-102, DHC-8-103, DHC-8-106, DHC-8-201, DHC-8-202, DHC-8-301, DHC-8-311, DHC-8-314, DHC-8-315 aircraft, all serial numbers. Requirement: To ensure management and control of Critical Design Configuration Control Limitations (CDCCL) items, each operator must: a. Amend their copies of the applicable aircraft model Maintenance Program Manuals to incorporate the CDCCL items introduced in Part 2 "Airworthiness Limitations List" of the following Temporary Revisions (TR): (i) For all models of DHC-8-100 Series aircraft - TR AWL-98 of DHC-8-100 Maintenance Program Manual, PSM 1-8-7.
(ii) For all models of DHC-8-200 Series aircraft - TR AWL 2-35 of DHC-8-200 Maintenance Program Manual, PSM 1-82-7.
(iii) For all models of DHC-8-300 Series aircraft - TR AWL 3-103 of DHC-8-300 Maintenance Program Manual, PSM 1-83-7. b. Amend any of their DHC-8-100, -200 and -300 Series aircraft related procedures or documentation to highlight the existence of CDCCL items noted above and to highlight the necessary requirements to maintain the design features of those CDCCL items. Note 1: AWL TRs mandated by this Directive may be removed from the applicable Maintenance Program Manual when superseded by a further TR or later revision to the applicable manual. Note 2: Transport Canada AD CF-2008-03 refers. Compliance: Within 60 days after the effective date of this Directive. This Airworthiness Directive becomes effective on 31 January 2008.
