Defence Force Retirement and Death Benefits Act 1973
Eligible Superannuation Scheme Declaration 2008
I, LINDSAY TANNER, Minister for Finance and Deregulation, pursuant to section 73 of the Defence Force Retirement and Death Benefits Act 1973 (the Act), do hereby:
(a) revoke all existing declarations made pursuant to section 73 of the Act;
(b) declare that the superannuation schemes specified in the Schedule to this Declaration are eligible superannuation schemes for the purposes of Division 3 of Part IX of the Act; and
(c) specify 1 January 2008 as the day on which this Declaration is deemed to come into force.

SCHEDULE
1. The superannuation schemes established under the following Acts:
(a) Parliamentary Contributory Superannuation Act 1948;
(b) Superannuation Act 1976;
(c) Superannuation Act 1990.
2. The superannuation schemes known as:
(a) AvSuper;
(b) Northern Territory Government and Public Authorities Superannuation Scheme;
(c) QSuper;
(d) Queensland Electricity Supply Industry Superannuation Scheme;
(e) Queensland Local Government Superannuation Scheme;
(f) Queensland Parliamentary Contributory Superannuation Scheme;
(g) UniSuper – Accumulation Plan 2.
