Applicability: All Model A321 aircraft, all serial numbers, which have received AIRBUS modification 24982, and without Airbus modification 30046 incorporated during production or AIRBUS Service Bulletin A320-32-1229 incorporated in service.
Requirement: Action in accordance with the requirements of DGAC AD F-2002-074(B) R1.
Note: AIRBUS Service Bulletin A320-32-1229 original issue, or later DGAC/EASA approved revision, refers.
Compliance: Unless already accomplished, before 5 July 2008.
This Airworthiness Directive becomes effective on 5 June 2008.
Background: During development qualification program of 93T MTOW (mod. 30046), complementary tests performed revealed that the MLG side-stay crashworthiness pins installed with mod. 24982 were not compatible for aircraft up to 89T MTOW.
