AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive (AD) AD/J4100/4 and issues the following AD under subregulation 39.001(1) of CASR 1998. The AD requires that the action set out in the requirement section (being action that the delegate considers necessary to correct the unsafe condition) be taken in relation to the aircraft or aeronautical product mentioned in the applicability section: (a) in the circumstances mentioned in the requirement section; and (b) in accordance with the instructions set out in the requirement section; and (c) at the time mentioned in the compliance section.
BAe Systems (Operations) Jetstream 4100 Series Aeroplanes AD/J4100/4 Amdt 1 Landing Gear Drag Brace Spherical Bearing 8/2008
Applicability: Jetstream Series 4100 Aircraft, constructors numbers 41004 through 41100. Requirement: Action in accordance with Jetstream Alert Service Bulletin J41-A32-061 Revision 1 or later NAA approved revision.
Note: UK CAA AD 003-07-97 refers. Compliance: As detailed in Jetstream Alert Service Bulletin J41-A32-061 Revision 1 or later NAA approved revision with a revised effective date as the effective date of this AD. This Amendment becomes effective on 31 July 2008. Background: The actions detailed in this AD are intended to ensure the structural integrity of the landing gear drag brace.
This amendment is made to correct a typographical error in the background statement.
