AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive (AD) AD/AC/52 and issues the following AD under subregulation 39.001(1) of CASR 1998. The AD requires that the action set out in the requirement section (being action that the delegate considers necessary to correct the unsafe condition) be taken in relation to the aircraft or aeronautical product mentioned in the applicability section: (a) in the circumstances mentioned in the requirement section; and (b) in accordance with the instructions set out in the requirement section; and (c) at the time mentioned in the compliance section.
Twin Commander (Gulfstream/Rockwell/Aerocommander 500, 600 and 700) Series Aeroplanes AD/AC/52 Amdt 1 Pilot Compartment Side 8/2008 Windows - Replacement
Applicability: All model 690A aeroplanes with S/Nos. 11100 to 11197. Requirement: Unless previously accomplished, remove openable pilot and co-pilot side windows and replace with windows with part number 360012-501 in accordance with Rockwell Service Bulletin (SB) No. 143.
Note: FAA AD 74-20-12 refers. Compliance: Unless already accomplished in accordance with the original issue of this AD, within 100 hours time in service (TIS) after 31 July 2008. This Amendment becomes effective on 31 July 2008. Background: This amendment includes changes to the applicability as contained in FAA AD 74-20-12 and Rockwell SB No. 143. There has been a history of cracking of the openable pilot's and co-pilot's side windows.
