AD/PHS/25 - Propeller Blade Corrosion (Cth)

AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE For the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below issues the following Airworthiness Directive (AD) under subregulation 39.001(1) of CASR 1998. The AD requires that the action set out in the requirement section (being action that the delegate considers necessary to correct the unsafe condition) be taken in relation to the aircraft or aeronautical product mentioned in the applicability section: (a) in the circumstances mentioned in the requirement section; and (b) in accordance with the instructions set out in the requirement section; and (c) at the time mentioned in the compliance section.

Propellers - Variable Pitch - Hamilton Standard AD/PHS/25 Propeller Blade Corrosion 8/2009

Applicability: Hamilton Sundstrand Propellers model 568F propellers with blades, part numbers (P/Ns) R815505R2, R815505R3, R815505R4, R815505S2, and R815505S3, that have a serial number (SN) listed in Table 1 of this AD, installed.

Note 1: These propellers are installed on, but not limited to, ATR-GIE Avions de Transport Regional ATR-42-400 and -500, ATR72-210A, -500, and Construcciones Aeronauticas, S.A. C-295 aeroplanes. Requirement: Remove from service blades, P/Ns R815505R2, R815505R3, R815505R4, R815505S2, and R815505S3 that have a SN listed in Table 1 of this AD.
