Federal Register of Legislation
AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive (AD) AD/CESSNA 150/10 Amdt 2 and issues the following AD under subregulation 39.001(1) of CASR 1998. The AD requires that the action set out in the requirement section (being action that the delegate considers necessary to correct the unsafe condition) be taken in relation to the aircraft or aeronautical product mentioned in the applicability section: (a) in the circumstances mentioned in the requirement section; and (b) in accordance with the instructions set out in the requirement section; and (c) at the time mentioned in the compliance section.
Cessna 150, F150, 152 & F152 Series Aeroplanes AD/CESSNA 150/10 Amdt 3 Plastic Control Wheel 8/2009
Applicability: All models fitted with plastic control wheels. Requirement: Action in accordance with Cessna Service Letter (SL) No. 64-8. Compliance: At intervals not exceeding 500 hours TIS following compliance with previous issue of this AD in accordance with Cessna Service Letter (SL) No. 64-8. This Amendment becomes effective on 30 July 2009. Background: This AD requires an inspection following reports of in service cracking and failures of plastic control wheels. The requirement documents for the inspection were Cessna Service Letter (SL) No. 62-44 and 64-8.
As an inspection carried out in accordance with SL 64-8 supersedes the inspection required by SL 62-44, this amendment deletes SL 62-44. No change has been made to the compliance period for requirement document SL 64-8.
