AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE For the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below issues the following Airworthiness Directive (AD) under subregulation 39.001(1) of CASR 1998. The AD requires that the action set out in the requirement section (being action that the delegate considers necessary to correct the unsafe condition) be taken in relation to the aircraft or aeronautical product mentioned in the applicability section: (a) in the circumstances mentioned in the requirement section; and (b) in accordance with the instructions set out in the requirement section; and (c) at the time mentioned in the compliance section.
Fuji FA-200 Series Aeroplanes AD/FA-200/27 Wing Spar Flange Corrosion 9/2009
Applicability: Model FA-200 series aircraft. Requirement: Carry out the fabrication of inspection holes, an inspection of the wing spar flange for corrosion, repair of any corrosion if necessary, and removal of sealing compound; in accordance with Fuji Heavy Industries Ltd. Service Bulletin No. 200-015, dated 28 February 2006, or later JCAB approved revision.
Note: JCAB AD TCD-6832-2006 refers. Compliance: Unless the initial requirements are already accomplished, within three months after 27 August 2009. Inspect thereafter at intervals not to exceed 5 calendar years. This Airworthiness Directive becomes effective on 27 August 2009. Background: The JCAB requires the actions of this Directive to prevent the deterioration of wing structural integrity by corrosion of the wing spar flange.
