This Determination is the Currency (Perth Mint) Determination 2008 (No. 2).
2 Commencement [see Note 1]
This Determination commences on the day after it is registered.
3 Specification of coins
For subsection 13A (1) of the Currency Act 1965, each item in Schedule 1 specifies: (a) the denomination of a coin; and (b) the coin's: (i) standard composition; and (ii) standard weight and the allowable variation from that weight; and (iii) dimensions; and (iv) design.
4 Application
The specifications in Schedule 1 do not affect any other determination of the specifications of a coin.

Obverse design An effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, and the monogram 'IRB', surrounded by the inscriptions: (a) 'ELIZABETH II'; and (b) 'AUSTRALIA 2008'; and (c) '1 DOLLAR'. Reverse design A design consisting of: (a) a representation of HMAS Sydney II; and (b) the inscriptions: (i) 'HMAS SYDNEY II'; and (ii) '19 NOVEMBER 1941 ~ 16 March 2008'; and (iii) 'WR' and 'P'.
