AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE For the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below issues the following Airworthiness Directive (AD) under subregulation 39.001(1) of CASR 1998. The AD requires that the action set out in the requirement section (being action that the delegate considers necessary to correct the unsafe condition) be taken in relation to the aircraft or aeronautical product mentioned in the applicability section: (a) in the circumstances mentioned in the requirement section; and (b) in accordance with the instructions set out in the requirement section; and (c) at the time mentioned in the compliance section.
Airbus Industrie A330 Series Aeroplanes AD/A330/111 GE Engine - Forward Mount Bolts 7/2010
Applicability: Airbus A330 aeroplanes, models -202 and -301, with General Electric engines as nominated in the Requirement document. Requirement: Action in accordance with the requirements of DGAC AD 2001-556(B).
Note: Airbus Service Bulletin A330-71-3013 refers. Compliance: At intervals specified in DGAC AD 2001-556(B). This Airworthiness Directive becomes effective on 30 April 2010. Background: The analyses of a test campaign conducted on the forward engine-mounts have revealed that the previous inspection intervals defined for the bolts in these mounts are not appropriate.
When this DGAC AD was published there was no A330 aircraft on the Australian register.
