AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive (AD) AD/B747/15 Amdt 1 and issues the following AD under subregulation 39.001(1) of CASR 1998. The AD requires that the action set out in the requirement section (being action that the delegate considers necessary to correct the unsafe condition) be taken in relation to the aircraft or aeronautical product mentioned in the applicability section: (a) in the circumstances mentioned in the requirement section; and (b) in accordance with the instructions set out in the requirement section; and (c) at the time mentioned in the compliance section.
Boeing 747 Series Aeroplanes AD/B747/15 Amdt 2 Trailing Edge Flap Track Fuse 14/2012 Bolt - Inspection / Replacement
Applicability: All model Boeing 747 series aeroplanes certificated in all categories listed in Boeing Service Bulletin 747-57-2206, Revision 2, and Service Bulletin 747-57-2217, Revision 4, or later FAA approved revisions. Requirement: Action in accordance with the requirements of FAA AD 83-08-02.
Note: FAA AD 83-08-02 mandates Boeing Service Bulletin 747-57-2206, Revision 1, and Service Bulletin 747-57-2217, Revision 1, or later FAA approved revisions. Compliance: As detailed in the Requirement document This Amendment becomes effective on 18 July 2012. Background: Amendment 1 of this Directive introduced Boeing SB 747-57-2206, Revision 1 which superseded the original issue of SB 747-57-2177.
Amendment 2 removes reference to Boeing SB 747-57-2206, Revision 1 and introduces FAA AD 83-08-02 under Requirement.
