Part 1—Preliminary
1 Name of determination This determination is the Superannuation (CSS) (SG Minimum Contribution) Determination 2013.
2 Commencement This determination commences on the day after it is registered.
3 Authority This determination is made under subsection 110SC(2) of the Superannuation Act 1976.
4 Repeal The Superannuation (CSS) (SG Minimum Contribution) Determination No. 1 (Statutory Rules 1992 No. 461) is repealed.
5 Definition In this determination: Act means the Superannuation Act 1976.
Part 2—Superannuation guarantee top‑up benefit: SG minimum contribution percentage
6 Variation of SG minimum contribution percentage For subsection 110SC(2) of the Act, the percentage mentioned in subsection 110SC(1) of the Act is varied as follows: (a) from 1 January 1993 to 30 June 1995—from 4% to 5%; (b) from 1 July 1995 to 30 June 1998—from 5% to 6%; (c) from 1 July 1998 to 30 June 2000—from 6% to 7%; (d) from 1 July 2000 to 30 June 2002—from 7% to 8%; (e) from 1 July 2002 to 8 August 2008—from 8% to 9%. Note: For the calculation of the SG minimum contribution from 9 August 2008—see regulation 5 of the Superannuation (CSS) (Superannuation Guarantee) Regulations 2008.
