1 Name of Determination
This Determination is the Telecommunications (Section of the Telecommunications Industry – Portability Service Suppliers) Determination 2015.
2 Commencement
This Determination commences on the day after it is registered.

3 Definitions
In this Determination: Act means the Telecommunications Act 1997. number portability has the meaning given in the Telecommunications Numbering Plan 1997 or in any subsequent instrument made under subsection 455(1) of the Act. portability services are supporting services provided to carriers or carriage service providers in relation to the provision and operation of number portability. These services include: (i) port administration services; (ii) ported number register database maintenance or provision; and (iii) the provision of network information services, or intelligent network database services, for call routing.
Note The following expressions used in this Determination have the same meanings which they have in the Act (see in particular, sections 7 and 109): * carriage service provider; * carrier; * telecommunications activity.
