DETERMINATION – MEANING OF SOCIAL SECURITY BENEFITS 2015
(Subregulation 2.06AAB(3))
I, PETER DUTTON, Minister for Immigration and Border Protection, acting under subregulation 2.06AAB(3) of the Migration Regulations 1994 (the Regulations):
1. DETERMINE for the purposes of subparagraph 2.06AAB(2)(a)(i) of the Regulations, that an applicant receives social security benefits if:
(a) at any time the applicant is engaged in employment for the purposes of subparagraph 2.06AAB(2)(a)(i) of the Regulations, the applicant also receives the following payments: (i) Special Benefit.
(b) for the purposes of this Instrument: (i) Special Benefit is a payment made under Part 2.15 of the Social Security Act 1991.
This Instrument, IMMI 15/072 commences on 18 April 2015.
