Australian Border Force (Oath and Affirmation) Rule 2015
I, Peter Dutton, Minister for Immigration and Border Protection, make the following rule.

1 Name This is the Australian Border Force (Oath and Affirmation) Rule 2015.
2 Commencement This instrument commences on 1 July 2015.
3 Authority This instrument is made under the Australian Border Force Act 2015.
4 Definitions
In this instrument:
Act means the Australian Border Force Act 2015. officer of the Australian Border Force means an Immigration and Border Protection worker in the Australian Border Force.
5 Oath and affirmation For subsections 13(1) and 24(1) of the Act, the oath in in the form set out in Form 1 of Schedule 1 and the affirmation in the form set out in Form 2 of Schedule 1 are prescribed.
Schedule 1—Form of oath and affirmation
Form 1—Oath for Australian Border Force Commissioner or officer of the Australian Border Force (section 5) I, [*insert name], swear on the [*insert religious book] to conduct myself with integrity and honesty in the exercise of my powers and performance of my duties as [*the Commissioner/*an officer] of the Australian Border Force. I will uphold the significant trust that is placed in me as a result of my role. I will, to the best of my ability, skill and knowledge, faithfully and professionally discharge all my duties according to law, and in such a manner that at all times upholds the good reputation of the Australian Border Force. So help me [*God/*a god recognised by his or her religion]. * Delete if not applicable
Form 2—Affirmation for Australian Border Force Commissioner or officer of the Australian Border Force (section 5) I, [*insert name], solemnly and sincerely affirm and declare that I will conduct myself with integrity and honesty in the exercise of my powers and performance of my duties as [*the Commissioner/*an officer] of the Australian Border Force. I will uphold the significant trust that is placed in me as a result of my role. I will, to the best of my ability, skill and knowledge, faithfully and professionally discharge all my duties according to law, and in such a manner that at all times upholds the good reputation of the Australian Border Force. * Delete if not applicable
