Australian Education (Financial Assistance for Non-participating States and Territories) Determination 2015 Australian Education Act 2013 I, CHRISTOPHER PYNE, Minister for Education and Training, make the following determination under subsections 65(3) and 65(7) of the Australian Education Act 2013. Dated 16 September 2015 CHRISTOPHER PYNE Minister for Education and Training 1 Name of determination This determination is the Australian Education (Financial Assistance for Non-participating States and Territories) Determination 2015. 2 Commencement This determination commences on the day after it is registered. 3 Definition In this determination: the Act means the Australian Education Act 2013. 4 Indexation of FFR amount For subsection 65(3) of the Act, in calculating the total amount of financial assistance that is payable to all non-participating States and Territories for 2014 for the non-participating schools located in those States and Territories under paragraph 65(2)(a) of the Act, the FFR amount for 2013 for non-participating States and Territories is indexed according to the following formula: 5 Total amount For subsection 65(3) of the Act, the total amount of financial assistance that is payable to all non-participating States and Territories for 2014 for the non-participating schools located in those States and Territories under Part 4 of the Act is $2,958,366,434. 6 Manner in which total amount is divided For subsection 65(7) of the Act, the total amount specified in section 5 of this determination is to be divided between the non‑participating States and Territories as follows: Item Non-participating State or Territory Amount: 1 Victoria $1,136,259,351 2 Queensland $1,054,549,932 3 Western Australia $490,231,253 4 Tasmania $147,891,373 5 Northern Territory $129,434,525
