1. LEGISLATIVE PROVISIONS 1. Name of Standard 1. This Standard is the Vehicle Standard (Australian Design Rule 85/00 – Pole Side Impact Performance) 2015. 2. This Standard may also be cited as Australian Design Rule 85/00 — Pole Side Impact Performance. 2. Commencement 1. This Standard commences on the day after it is registered.
2. FUNCTION 1. The function of this standard is to reduce the risk of serious and fatal injury of vehicle occupants in side impact crashes by limiting the forces, accelerations and deflections measured by anthropomorphic test devices in pole side impact crash tests and by other means.
