Part 1 Preliminary
1. Name of Determination
This Determination is the Health Insurance (Eligible Pathology Laboratories) Determination 2015.
2. Commencement
This Determination commences on the day after registration.
3. Authority
This Determination is made under the Health Insurance Act 1973.
4. Interpretation
In this Determination:
Act means the Health Insurance Act 1973.
Category GX (General) means the category of that name set out in section 17 of in the Health Insurance (Accredited Pathology Laboratories – Approval) Principles 2002, as in force from time to time.
Category GY (General) meas the category of that name set out in section 17 of the Health Insurance (Accredited Pathology Laboratories – Approval) Principles 2002, as in force from time to time.
Category S (Specialised) meas the category of that name set out in section 17 of the Health Insurance (Accredited Pathology Laboratories – Approval) Principles 2002, as in force from time to time.
recognized hospital has the same meaning as it did in the Act immediately before the commencement of item 31 of the Health Legislation Amendment (Medical Practitioners' Qualifications and Other Measures) Act 2001.
Rural/Remote Areas Classification means the document of that name published in January 1994 by the Department of Human Services and Health.
